Join us in Palm Desert from March 13 to March 15, 2012, for UBC Desert Days. With a tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum; a reception at the beautiful Bougain Villa with special guest Stephen Toope, president of UBC; the Sixth Annual Desert Classic Golf Tournament and Dinner; and the opportunity to attend a day of tennis at the BNP Paribas Open Tournament, UBC Desert Days 2012 offers something for everyone! Whether you’re a snowbird or a local, you’re welcome to join us for this exciting week of UBC activity in the warm and sunny desert. This is a time for UBC alumni and supporters to gather and celebrate their shared UBC connection.

Palm Springs Art Museum Talk and Tour

Enjoy an afternoon guided tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum, prior to the UBC Alumni and Friends Reception at nearby Bougain Villa.

Park in the south lot of the Palm Springs Art Museum.

This event is free of charge.

Desert Days Reception

Attend this exclusive cocktail reception with chef action stations. Take this opportunity to network with fellow UBC alumni and friends who spend time in the Palm Desert area or live in the region. Stephen Toope, UBC’s president, will be our special guest for the evening and will share news from UBC.

This reception is generously hosted at Bougain Villa, the home of Harold (BCom’69, LLB’70) and Dorothy Meyerman.

Parking and shuttle service from the south lot of the Palm Springs Art Museum (See address above). There is no parking at Bougain Villa.

6th Annual UBC Desert Classic Golf Tournament and Dinner

This annual tradition is one of the highlights of our year. By attending the the UBC Desert Classic golf tournament, you’ll be helping our Thunderbird athletes. Net proceeds of the event will be matched by UBC Athletics and your donation will be directed to the permanent scholarship endowments of the Thunderbird team of your choice.

*Includes green fees (as well as power cart, range privileges, unlimited bottled water, divot tool, ball marker and yardage book), buffet dinner and a donation of $75 (tax receipted) to the Thunderbird team of your choice.
