Generational Differences in the Workplace: Fact or Fiction?

There are many assumptions in the workplace about how different generations prefer to conduct their work, relate to each other, and are motivated.  In this webinar, we will challenge and explore common stereotypes by answering questions such as “do younger workers have a lower work ethic than older workers?”, “does job performance decline with age?”, and “what do millennials want at work?” to determine if these assumptions are… fact or fiction.

In this webinar, participants will learn how assumptions about generational differences can lead to problems in the workplace and will better understand the real differences that exist between people at work.  Each participant, from Generation Z to Generation X, will be provided tips to better communicate with, motivate, and work with diverse generational groups.

About the Speaker

Leah Pezer, BA’02, is an Industrial-Organizational psychology Ph.D. student and researcher at the University of Calgary.  After completing her professional beach volleyball career, Leah co-founded ‘Lead the Future’, a company which has consulted with various corporate groups, universities, colleges, and sport organizations to help people optimized their performance.

Leah integrates insights gained from sport with an evidence-based approach to areas such as leadership development, team dynamics, conflict management, and employee motivation.  Offering a perceptive and relatable attitude to her clients, Leah strives to help individuals, their teams, and the organizations they work for, achieve their full potential.
