Faye Wightman

Faye is a certified corporate director, having received accreditation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2010, and is currently a director with BC Housing.  Faye also sits on the Campaign Cabinet for the Vancouver Public Library and is a member of the Advisory Council for Science World. Her career has focused on the not-for-profit sector, including serving as the president and CEO of the Vancouver Foundation and BC Children’s Hospital, the vice president of External Relations at the University of Victoria, and campaign director for United Way of the Lower Mainland.  She has been recognized with numerous awards including an “Influential Women in Business Award”, the City of Vancouver’s Civic Medal, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Professional Fundraisers, three years on Power 50’s influential persons in Vancouver listing, and the Queen’s Jubilee medal for her philanthropic work in Canada.

Faye is currently the interim executive director for the BC/Yukon Division of the Canadian Cancer Society and does governance work with associations and non-profits.
