We Care, “Get-together Dinner” for the Seniors of Ngau Tau Kok

Seniors Dinner in Hong Kong

The smiling faces, bon appetite expressions, eager participation, to-the-beat clapping, farewells with warm handshakes, and delight with the goodies they could take home made it clear that the seniors who attended the last “Get-together Dinner” had an memorable evening that would stay with them for a long time. The sponsors and volunteers who participated can affirmatively share that the heart-warming feelings have lingered in them too.

In January, to celebrate the closing of the year of the rooster, the alumni UBC Hong Kong Community Concern Team, together with the Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, will join together for a banquet for 120 elderly single dwellers living in the government housing of Ngau Tau Kok. The evening will be filled with performances, games and goodies for the seniors to take home. The alumni UBC Hong Kong Community Concern Team is currently looking for sponsors and volunteers to join them on this joyous event.
