On June 13, 2019 the UBC School of Kinesiology gathered a panel of expert coaches together for an evening of discussion and insight into the Professional Masters of High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership (MHPCTL) and the general state of professional coaching today.
The field of coaching has seen significant growth that supports High Performance programs and an increase in the sophistication of sport. The demands to innovate, to base decisions on current sport science and organizational leadership research, and to design systems that are globally competitive means more sophisticated and comprehensive preparation is necessary.
Learn how the MHPCTL program is developing the next generation of coaches and technical leaders for Canada, and how it aims to raise the standard of sport as a safe, inclusive and performance-oriented pathway for Canada’s upcoming athletes.
